Hey people
Well while I am here waiting at school I thought I would kick start telling you about my film making and creative past.
The Early works
When I was fifteen I got my first job stacking shelves at woolies, he he why would I do such a thing???? One reason to buy a camera and make movies. My first camera was a sony high 8 camera which I bought for $500, plus I got a free bag, and camera tripod. Whoo hoo instant film maker.
From this all the time I would make ridiculous films with my brother and my school chums. I even shot the 1st scene of a horrror feature film, up at the Tailem Bend Lookout. It told the story of a group of teenagers who trecked into the woods, but one by one were killed off by a psychotic ex-army vet, who was also deformed. The results were pretty funny, but I soon gave up, which was probably a big mistake, even if it sucked at least it would have been funny.
After several ridiculous films I made The Shitty Life of Sam (pictured). The film was quite terrible. I remember it screened at the ISO Bar on Hindley street but it had no sound, so eventually people just turned away back to their conversations whilst I eagerly ran around telling them to turn around and watch the screen.
he he come to think of it that's pretty much what I and evey other film maker does for the rest of their career, battle to make people turn around and actually watch your film.
chow for now.- next week The Good, the Bad, and the Clarry- an unfinished Doco masterpiece.
p.s if you would like to view my films for any insane reason just let me know.

when i was a kid i used to hang out at my friends house one street over a lot because his family had a camera, everything we shot had no plot and was mostly just chase scenes. i even insisted on shooting random things during one of his birthday parties. eventually in year seven we were given a film making project, a friend of mine and i wrote a cop film about corruption and drug dealing, it was never completed. in year nine, now in high school, a new friend and i made many short films, one was called 'the bleeding' about police trying to catch a cannibal serial killer, another was a puppet show with stuffed toys called 'pimp daddy peter rabbit's night out'. good times, good times.
Ha ha that is good alan, we all start out making crazy stuff like that, is fantastic practice for the future.
also has there been an update to mondo insano? as i can't access your blog from school.
My first attempt at film mkaing was a really crappy kung-fu movie where me and my mates all dressed in black and attempted choreographed fight sequences. Needless to say, the film was never completed and was lost in the corridors of time.
