Hey this is my first post for the holidays, thanks to all the people who left comments, please continue to- and yes Rowan when we get back to MAPS we will arrange time for a production design meeting it is of course vital!
anyway here is an update of the weeks activities.
Monday- went into Av Central to talk to Daniel Charlton about borrowing the XD Cam, said should be fine and to bring in some support materials since I am applying for sponsorship, and to make sure i'm not shooting porn (seriously)!!!! also started script.
tuesday- went on tour of old adelaide gaol with danny steel for his film, with Jen and Cassie, was creepy and a good day out, but it costs............$800 per day....what!!!!!! nope we shall look elsewhere. Also went to danny's house watched don't look now staring donald sutherland-was wierd, trippy and brilliant definately the sort of style i would shoot.
wednesday- wrote most of script, but started to feel sick and couldn't finish. watched some Mario Bava films that Danny lent me Black Sunday, and Black Sabbath-both awesome- you can see where argento got his influence.
Saturday- still sick but manaaged to finish first draft of the script next stop Dr. Leigh Sutton's doorstep.

Bava, what a genius! Black Sunday and Black Sabbath are masterpieces. Kill Baby Kill is also good, maybe one to look at for your film:
It has a small country town, weird townspeople and a conspiracy. Also an old witch-like lady.
By the way. If you still need a toy petrol station I have one from when I was a lad.
